The Wake-Up Call That Turned My Career Around

The Wake-Up Call That Turned My Career Around

Years ago, I had a wake-up call. I read an industry report and realized I was earning only 50% of the going average as a hedge fund analyst and the only woman on the team.

You might have experienced something like this too and know what a gut punch that feels like.

None of the trader bros on that team were going to help me change my situation around -- except me.

I needed to up-level my communication and negotiation skills. Stat.

More than that, I needed to BECOME a different person. A woman who confidently owns her multi-lingual skills, celebrates her own determination and grit, and BRAVES tough conversations with grace, even at the risk of being misunderstood.

That change took effort, for sure.

At first, I thought I needed to white-knuckle it. I thought I had to "fake it till I make it," even at the expense of getting exhausted and sometimes sick to my stomach for brute-forcing change.

The real game changer was when I learned the coaching tool of mental rehearsal. When I could slow down the critical faculty in my mind (or the itty bitty sh*tty committee) and visualize myself HAVING changed. Feeling good in my own skin as I speak up, sitting tall in my own validation.

Years later, I've not only helped myself, but I've helped my clients increase their pay by 20% - 40%+secure leadership positions, and launch successful companies that pay multiples of what they were paid before.

You, too, have your own goals and desires -- perhaps to be bolder, braver, and better paid. Or to grow in your confidence as an authentic and inspiring leader.

You want to:
1. Make space for those desires
2. Plan out actionable steps to achieve your goal
3. Visualize BEING the change you want to see, so you take bold action while feeling congruent with who you want to be

This is exactly what we’ll be doing at the webinar SMART Start: 5 Steps to Get Unstuck and Take Bold Action.

In this webinar, we're marrying strategic planning with practical neuroscience. You'll be guided step-by-step through a process for:

  • Making your goals SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound)

  • Mentally rehearse the steps you need to take, so you ACTUALLY start creating momentum toward your goal and boost your confidence
